The holiday season is upon us! The Target toy ad has arrived and unofficial
Christmas lists have been drafted at the Garee household. During our two week hiatus before Winter sports begin, I've been slowly transitioning from Halloween décor to more of a neutral Fall décor to get us through Thanksgiving. As I was decorating, I found a common theme among most of my Fall décor,  which prompted me to stop and reflect on the blessings in my life.
During the year, we are so busy with our daily routines that we don't stop to think of our blessings. While we watch our children play sports, are we thankful they are healthy enough to play? While we run daily errands, are we thankful we can afford a full tank of gas? While wrestling the grocery bags from the van to the kitchen, are we thankful to have food to feed our family?  I am definitely guilty of taking things for granted. Which is why this time of year, I like to remind myself and my family of just how blessed we truly are and to Give Thanks.
One easy way I remind my family is by incorporating the theme of giving thanks into our Fall décor around our home. I have done this through a few of my favorite vinyl projects. Vinyl expressions are an easy, inexpensive, temporary way to incorporate any theme into your décor. Here are a few ideas I have used in my home.

Try installing one of our expressions on your wooden floor to greet guests as they visit your home during the holidays.

Choose one of your favorite expressions and we will transfer it to a 5x7 or 8x10 burlap material for you to frame and display with your décor. Any of our custom designs would also make great personalized gifts.

An expression can also be installed on a tray or tile and reused each year with your Fall décor.

Welcome! I am happy you were curious enough to pop over to my blog and find out more about Etymology Designs.

To ease your curiosity, I will share a little about myself.  I am a mother of three happy, healthy children. I have been married to my best friend for 15 years. I am a teacher at heart and by profession but after 15 fulfilling years, decided to take a break.  I recently left the classroom and am now blessed to be a stay at home mom. I could not be happier. I am a Buckeyes fan, a Browns fan and a devoted fan of any team my children play on. I love to read, create things, and spend time outdoors with my family. We love to boat and be anywhere near water. In Ohio, sunshine and water are limited, so we take advantage as much as we can.

After a lot of prayers and encouragement from friends and family, the Lord has blessed me with an opportunity to grow my own vinyl business. An opportunity I would have never thought possible 10 years ago. After 5 years of selling vinyl  for a home based business, I gained enough knowledge and experience to say, "Hey! I can do that." And that's how  Etymology Designs began.

Starting this blogging journey is a little scary for a lady who is only use to standing in front of eight year olds and rapping silly Math poems. But if you were curious to find out more about me, then you might be interested to find out more about ways I use vinyl in my home. If you are looking for ideas for your home, your office, your team, your car, or a personalized gift or clothing, then you have come to the right place. I hope to share ideas that will inspire you to say, "Hey, I can do that!". Please feel free to comment or message me anytime with thoughts, ideas, and questions that you have. I look forward to meeting all of you!
